The New Cooper S/T-C

I'm sure that all of you know that the Cooper S/T has performed exceptionally well in the Australian market. It's rugged looks appeal to the city folk that want to go 4W Driving on the weekend. While out in the country, the S/T appeals to the Primary Producers because of their aggressive nature and chip resistance on gravel roads compared to other All-Terrain patterns. 

In specific applications, particularly mining or extreme rocky country. We have noticed that the S/T seems not to display the cut and chip resistance that we see in other applications. Bear in mind, this tyre was never designed to be a Mud tyre replacement. It was designed to fill the void between the A/T and STT patterns and in this application it has excelled. Due mainly to our feedback and requests to Cooper over the last 12 months they have developed some variations to the S/T product range and has released a S/T-C tyre. This tyre is aimed directly at vehicles that are exposed to extreme elements. With this new S/T-C the gap between a Mud tyre and the S/T has closed, you will not be able to forget about a Mud tyre with no sipping in the tread blocks for outright tread block resistance to lug tear and chipping.

    .    Tread compound change to increase hot tread cut & chip resistance by 90%.

  .   The change has also improved Lug tear resistance by 40%.

    .   Nylon overlay (wrap) to improve tread pattern strength and reduce belt separations. The nylon acts like a protective layer to make it harder to cut through to the steel belts. 

 The new S/T-C is a tyre that will break into new markets. We are proud to have such a radical expansion of the S/T product range. This proves that Cooper is a progressive supplier that will help local markets with specific issues.
